	Amazing Amazons 2011  Amazing Amazon for January  PAIDI While she hasn’t been around as much as usual, it’s because she’s up and active. I want to applaud her for sticking to her resolutions! She’s keeping up with her diet and exercise program, and while she did slink back to smoking, she’s staying away from the fries. The tenacity to stick to it – Paidi! Congratulations, Paidi!  Amazing Amazon for February  ASTRAEA I chose her this month because of her never-say-die attitude. In the face of her job, she didn’t roll over, she stood up and stalked out. In the face of her father, she stood tall and proud. She’s always creative and generally funny to go along with it. She has strength of spirit that always shows through. Congratulations, Astraea!  Amazing Amazon for March  CASSIA A quiet Amazon with a lot of inner strength, Cassia has been very creative this month and stirred many of us to post. She has some romance issues but she never lets it get her down and she always has a kind word for others. Happy to work with everyone in the pursuit of a good story, Cassia is the AA for March! Congratulations!  Amazing Amazon for April  WILLOW An amazing mom, I think everyone was cuted to death by little Ruby and the pictures Willow took of her for us. She also posted a lot, showing it’s possible to have a life offline as well as online. In addition, our monthly calendars are always a joy. Congratulations, Willow! You’re Amazing!  Amazing Amazon for May  CYPRESS A returning Amazon, Cypress has really infected us all with her spirit, joy, and love. She’s inspired many to step up their writing and has made us all remember why we never wanted her to go in the first place. It’s amazing when someone makes you feel they’ve been there forever and they’ve just met you. Congratulations, Cypress! You’re Amazing!  Amazing Amazon for June  KOU First off, Welcome back to the tribe Kou! We've all missed you so much! Not only did she come back to us, but she brought another one of our missing sisters with her! No wonder she's Amazing Amazon for June!  Amazing Amazon for July  DAMIA A quiet Amazon, she packs a full punch when she posts and is known more for her Skype chat than her forum posts. When I need an ear, I know I can log in and find her waiting there for me. In addition, she puts together the yearly musical albums and is ready to embark again on that great musical journey. Congratulations, Damia! You’re Amazing!  Amazing Amazon for August  DEORIS Delegated with the honor of choosing the Amazing Amazon for September's newsletter, Lyna Bryseis and Leinsata Jadea have chosen our fair Latra Deoris. No one can contest Deo's devotion to Themiscyra. Her time expended on the forums, Skype, and Themiscyra's website are all testimonies to her love for this tribe of silly, wacky, creative, and strong Amazon women. In the face of illnesses, financial burdens, and computer problems, Deo is still readily available to her Amazons and always has enough love to go around. A wise leader and wickedly talented webmistress, we'd like to honor her this month! As we all know, Deoris is an amazing Latra! She's on top of everything all the time, keeps us up and running on the hardest of days and is constantly an inspiration to her athelfi!  Amazing Amazon for September  VALKYRA A woman’s woman, Valkyra continues to be a shining light for Amazons both in and out of the forum. She’s reliable when it comes to her contributions to the newsletter. Her posts in both Nok’tana and Tavita are creative and prolific. She’s also just the most beautiful (at least on the inside as I’ve never seen her real outside!) women I am happy to know. Congratulations, Valkyra! You’re Amazing!  Amazing Amazon for October  VALENCIA This month, a little muse blew through the village bringing encouragement, ideas, and writing zest to many! Not only was good to see her appear from the ether, it was great that she brought all this creativity with her. Then she whipped other athelfi into a frenzy with her, and it was good. Congratulations, Valencia! You’re Amazing!  Amazing Amazon for November  ETELKA As her Nanowrimo project, Etelka pledged to post every day in the RPF. While there were only 17 of the proposed 30 posts, it was an amazing effort and it helped move the time forward in a way most of us can appreciate. I know she felt a little like she was talking to herself, but the 13 other Amazons who posted around and through her posts were grateful to have her spurring them along. Thank you, Etelka for reminding us it’s as simple as one post a day! Congratulations, Etelka! You’re Amazing! And chosen by the Amazons for 2011 - The Amazing Amazon of the Year ETELKA From the votes: I feel like she really fell into her place recently and has worked her butt off not only in Tavita but in other aspects of the tribe. I really feel like she earned it! Etelka has really stepped up with her RP posts and enthusiasm!!
