Kardia

Quilla (Archer)

Tasida Demerci Fenal Archila (Former Head Blacksmith)

During most of her life, Kardia lived in Sinope, a peaceful village on the coast and a major trading post for weapons. Short with long black hair and hazel eyes, Kardia was considered a local beauty in Sinope. She held the attention of all men, especially the neighboring warlords. Unlike most women in her village, Kardia wanted to learn the trade of her father, Pirus.

Pirus was Sinope's only blacksmith and metalsmith. He also created weapons that were sometimes called "weapons of the gods." Kardia often skipped her studies and meals to watch her father work.

One night as Pirus labored to finish a large order of weapons, a teenage Kardia witnessed a gang of men attack and burn Sinope. She last saw her father take up one of the swords he'd made and run to defend the village. Most of the villagers in fear ran toward the coast, but Kardia was somehow lead by a mysterious eagle toward Themiscyra.

Half-beaten and starved, Kardia was found days later by one of the Themiscyran warrior women. She was initiated into the tribe and appointed Demerci Fenal Archila. Although very young for such a position, Kardia's tested and proven skill (and the need for a blacksmith in Themiscyra) worked to her advantage. Kardia adjusted to Amazon life quickly, loving the way of Sisterhood and feminism.

Out of gratitude and honor, Kardia works hard for her tribe and never passes up a chance to show appreciation for her new family.

Kardia's totem is an eagle and she has one as a pet named Sobryn. Her hutmate is Vihara.
