Xela

Way up north, in the land of the Siberian Amazons, lived Xela. Not only was she a fierce Amazon warrior, she was an Amazon queen. Like any Amazon, Xela felt she had no need for the weaker sex (that would be men) that is until she met Carterous. They fell in love and pretty soon the independent queen found herself to be pregnant! Naturally, Xela’s Amazon sisters hoped for a little girl so they could raise her into a great warrior and they were lucky it was a girl, there was only one problem.

Carterous wanted to raise the child too. This is where Xela’s life altering decision comes in. She had to choose whether she or Carterous would raise the girl, but it wasn’t hard to decide after seeing how much Carterous cared for the child. So against all of her sisters, Xela gave the child to Carterous to raise (as long as he named the child after her). He took the girl to his home village and didn’t see an Amazon again for almost 14 years.

One day Xela (this is the daughter) was hunting on Amazon land and got caught. She was taken back to the Amazon village to be punished and long story short, the two Xela's were reunited, of course the younger non-Amazon Xela had no idea that the queen was her own mother. After a lot of explanations Xela made her daughter Xela an Amazon princess.

Xela and her mother and sisters live happily for a while until in some mischievous plan to wipe out the Amazon nation, a local warlord and his army attacked the tribe staring a deadly battle between the two. Of course both the queen and princess wanted to stay and defend their village, but being Amazon royalty, they were sent out of the village. The two stayed in hiding until one sad day Queen Xela was killed by a group of thugs. After this Xela (the living one) returned to her home only to find the entire village destroyed and all of her sisters killed. Horrified, Xela set out on a journey that took her around the land. After extensive warrior training, Xela finally set out after the warlord responsible for the death of her sisters. She soon found herself with a dagger to the man’s throat and realizing what she had become, Xela took off, again.

She had nowhere to go. Anger and hated had ripped through her heart. Desperate for a new life Xela found herself at Themiscrya, a place where a fresh new start was waiting for her.
