Khepri

Kuk'Tai Koritsi (Shamaness Apprentice)

An Egyptian girl of 11, Khepri had been a slave all her life. She had been allowed to remain with her mother, but the master's debts had increased and he chose to sell off some of his slaves. He sold the girl to traders. Those traders were overpowered by the Zerlina as they sailed toward Rome.

Khepri was rescued from the Zerlina by the Amazons. The council determined she was too young, and too used to enslavement, to be allowed to make her own decisions regarding her life. They allowed her to remain in the tribe where she has been fostering with Leonie, the Shamaness.

She was befriended by Talis, an Egyptian Amazon who was later accidentally killed. From Talis, Khepri received a rite of caste, making her heir to all that Talis owned or was. Through this, she is considered Amazon by law.

Khepri continues to work and apprentice with Leonie. She has the gift of second-sight which is being honed for use for the tribe. Her totem is the scorpion.
