Ronate Verlisi (Royal Guard)

Palyseis is Bryseis' mother. She was a Latra's personal guard in their home tribe near Tanwin. She maintained a close friendship with the queen. Palyseis was born and raised in their Tae'Nah village and intended to raise Bryseis in the same fashion. Roman soldiers invaded and killed most of their tribe, including Palyseis and their queen. Bryseis was one of the few that managed to escape the slaughter.

Palyseis was strong and fierce, necessary for a guard but had a wild and free spirit that sometimes put her in dangerous situations. One of these times, she fell in love with a centaur, Dremond, from the village that her tribe was currently in constant conflict with. The two shared a union and it produced Bryseis, who never knew her true parentage until a recent nok'tana to the centaurs to celebrate a wedding.
