Alkaia to Antíkrisma (Alkaia the Sight)

Alkaia is 5’4 with a pale complexion, piercing emerald eyes, and a scar running the length of her right cheek. She has light brown hair that is shoulder length and curly. She is also very strong due to the rigorous training she subjected herself to at a young age.  Alkaia speaks Greek fluently and can speak a small amount of Italian, Arabic, and Japanese.  

Alkaia’s mother died during child birth and her father was never in the picture. Her older sister, Melasinde raised her on her own in a small house in the Greek countryside. On Alkaia’s 5^th birthday, men barged into their house and raped and murdered Melasinde, forcing Alkaia to watch the whole event. The men left her alive and unharmed save for a deep cut across her right cheek. Filled with rage at the brutal murder of her sister she grabbed her sister’s bow and shot at one of the men as he was riding away. To her great dismay, she could barely pull back the bow and she only nicked him on the ear. After that she promised herself that she would hunt down and kill all of the men involved in the murder. Even at her young age, she started building up the strength she needed to have to use her sister’s bow. Over the following years she trained hard and taught herself how to use the bow and sword. She trained so much that she almost never ate and was very underweight. Some say that it was because of her malnutrition that she saw her dead sister walking in the woods a few years after her death. From then on people called her Alkaia to Antíkrisma. Alkaia the Sight.  

At ten, Alkaia stole a neighboring farmers horse and rode out to find the men. She hunted the men down one by one. She left enough time between their killings that the next would know she was coming for revenge. She left one of the men alive so he would always live in fear that she was coming to kill him. After she had killed all of them, except the one, she returned to the house she had been raised in and lived there until she was 16. Alkaia trained herself in every weapon she had heard of when she traveled at the age of ten. Other than her sister’s bow, her weapons of choice are her crescent moon blades. Approximately a foot and a half in length, the crescent moon blades resemble two small scythes.  

When she was 16 she heard the tale of the warrior women that shunned men and were some of the best fighters the world had seen. She set out on foot to find these women. Along the way, she found a lost ocelot cub and she brought it with her, raising it as best she could. She also tamed a white mare she now calls Luna. When she was 17, she finally found her way to the tribe of warrior women.  

Alkaia is still slightly underweight and is currently 17 years of age.  She normally wears a hooded gray cloak and leather pants to protect her legs. She wears bracers on her arms and a small silver chest plate that covers most of her upper torso.  

Alkaia’s totem animals are the ocelot and the falcon.
