Celosia
Gienasata
of Themiscyra (Founding Queen)
Sister to Medea
Daughter of Lysippe
The eldest of Lysippe's two daughters, Celosia is the Queen of the Themiscyran
tribe. Her younger sister, Medea, is Regent and often complains about
being passed over for the position of Queen. She is the youngest queen in
Themiscyran history, being only 19 when she ascended the throne.
Celosia stands at five feet eleven inches and is thin but muscular. Her
brown hair falls to the middle of her back, and the last four inches are
white-blonde as a result of her training with the Shadow Warriors. Her
eyes are slightly almond shaped and bright blue. She has two
distinguishing markings - one of a green dragon, the ancient symbol of the Queen, and another of a screech owl, her totem animal.
Celosia was trained in all disciplines of combat, but prefers two short blades and a staff. Her blades are tempered steel with a simple silver hilt, the guards of which are sculpted claws. Her staff is made of oak and the staff head bears Celosia's individual symbol, family symbol, and the symbol for queen carved into ivory.
Diplomatically, Celosia is on good terms with Queen Vorgeen of the Highland Amazons, and Gabrielle of the Teloan Amazons. She speaks ancient Amazonian and Kelowan, the language of the queens. She is fair and rarely jumps to conclusions, but sometimes is too biased towards the good of her tribe rather than the good of the entire Amazon Nation. She is guided by the Shadow Warriors, the spirits of Amazons long past, and by remembrances of her mother.
Celosia's totems are the screech owl and the green dragon.
