Kailia came to Themiscyra a woman of mystery. She proved her worth in an archery contest and the Queen allowed her to remain with the tribe. She spent many happy days in Themiscyra.

However, she was a married woman and her husband, the King of Lyria, took ill and summoned her home. With a heavy heart, she returned to Lyria to rule.
