This page celebrates the TWELFTH year of Themiscyra and the Amazons who populate it. Below you will find tributes to our tribe, from our tribe.

 

 

DEORIS

 

It's hard to believe that 12 years have passed since Themiscyra was founded. While many of the Amazons have come and gone, many of us remain steady and true. It's a struggle sometimes to keep the community alive and kicking, but we bring each other back when we need a slice of home.

I hope all of you move forward into Lucky 13 with me and meet me this time next year for a grand celebration. Thank you all for your continuing contributions. You are all Amazing!

Admittedly, I've only seen maybe 4 episodes of LotS, but this musicvideo just kicks ass and is awesome. I'd never heard the song before but paired with the scenes this fan selected/edited, it's a powerful message that I believe we all have felt was true at some point or another. I know when I'm "on a mission", I'm unstoppable. LoL!

I chose to share this one because I think it really is a work of art. The best way I can describe this vid is that it's made similar to a movie preview- but I think they did a superb job of it making it rock. In my wildest dreams I never thought
I would be the person I have become 
Just the quiet little mouse I used to be
Now become a warrior woman fighting

In spite of all the hardships and troubles that the Tribe has gone through, Themiscyra, for many years, has been and still remains a wonderful sisterhood of friends. Although my time is limited because of real life necessities and troubles, I always look forward to that time of day when I enter our world of warrior women.

I still truly value the past years that I have been here and hold dear all of the wonderful women that I have known and those I know now as well as those that I hope to know. I thank you for your friendship and I look forward to many more years of Themiscyra Amazon Nation!
