Ten Ways to Incite an Amazon Tribe/Wake an Amazon Queen (in
chronological order, of course):

1. Join a renegade Amazon and crusade against Celosia.

2.
Be
an Amazon Regent, run off with our good buddy Velasca,
grow fangs and claws and fight Ares.
3.
Be
an Amazon Princess, find your sister in Themiscyra
(alright, so she wasn’t in the end, sue me), steal some
ambrosia from Hercules, eat it, proceed go batty
.
4.
Attack Themiscyra… if you’re the Highland Amazons (or
at least make like you are).
 5.
Be a Majie warrior, steal Seriana’s
soul, and set up camp in a cave not very far from the
village. Meanwhile,
poison the water and make everyone sick and crazy.
6.
Be Roman. Go
on, I’m serious! Be
a dali Roman.
7.
Team up with Hope and Kaia
(that would be Velasca again)
8.
Be Radicus, Vikings, and/or
especially Erik and chase after your daughters. |

9.
“Trade” with the Amazons, especially if you have live
cargo – aka slaves
– in the underbelly of the ship.
10.
Okay,
seriously, put on the red skirt and the funny hat and be a
Roman. |
Now
that we’ve covered that, we should also cover the Themiscyra
Palisade of Shame. This
is a list of Amazons, who no matter what they do, will never
ever come back. They
were either mean, evil, or just a dali
tease (THALIA).

So
the moral of the six-year old story, Tae’Nah,
is to not be a Goddess of Chaos, evil witch, evil stepsister hell-bent
on something (we were never sure what), figment of someone’s

warrior, daughter of evil!

we're not sisters by blood, the friendship that I share with you
all makes it so much closer than what blood is and can be. You
all mean so much to me and I love you all a great deal. You all
play such an important part in my life even if you don't know
it. Keep well my sisters.

was walking alone when the chant came to me. Something to give
me courage as I walked, a mantra I could say as my feet hit the
ground. I began thinking of words that meant Amazon to me. Honor Truth Pride Strength Loyalty Courage I
couldn't remember them in Amazon, but the sound of them kept my
feet moving. I offer up those words and their Amazon
translations for you this year. May they bring you comfort and

a final note, I discovered yesterday that September 15th is
actually Xena's birthday, and this one marked the show's10th
anniversary. I think our being SIX says a lot about that show,
